《符文工房4》最早于2012年登陆3DS平台，后来2020年2月以特别版的形式重新登陆Switch平台。这一次登陆PC、PS和Xbox的版本自带游戏发售后的DLC，可以说是最终完全版了。目前游戏已经上架Steam，游戏支持繁体中文。
相比于《符文工房4》原版来说，《符文工房4特别版》除了将画面HD化之外，还将加入各式新要素，像是全新难度、全新片头动画，以及透过Live2D动态立绘呈现的心跳**“新婚生活”等。
